It's really quite an odd idea - a t-shirt with the ability to light up, and even flash? What makes this possible? It would seem that any kind of clothing with this feature would be rather bulky, which probably wouldn't be that well received.

Enter electroluminescent technology. Known as 'EL' for short, this cutting edge technology is paper-thin, light weight and even flexible. With a tickness of less than 4 millimetres it loans itself perfectly to unique applications such as FlashWear Anim8 shirts and T-Qualizer Equalizer Shirts.

Because EL is so thin it can be incorporated into a t-shirt without the wearer feeling anything strange, or out of the ordinary. The only thing you may notice is the small battery pack required to make the shirt light up. Powered by AAA batteries, the battery pack is conveniently concealed inside a special pocket near the hem line of the shirt.

The battery pack sends small electrical pulses to the display area of the light up shirt, causing it to illuminate and flash in a pre-programmed pattern. T-Qualizer Equalizer Shirt battery packs feature a built-in microphone that can even detect the beat of music or nearby sound, causing the shirt to flash just like your home stereo system!
