Even though the display panel is paper-thin and flexible does contain components that are sensitive to water. Machine washing your light up shirt or equalizer tee will damage it, so here we present a simple step-by-step cleaning guide. Having a light up shirt means a little extra care is required, but these following steps will go a long way to making sure it lasts for years and years to come.

The following is a step by step guide to washing your T-Qualizer or FlashWear Anim8 shirt:

1 - Disconnect the battery pack from the shirt (don't remove the wire inside the shirt.)
2 - Wash the cotton portion of the shirt with detergent and cold water, but keep the display panel dry
3 - Never submerge the display panel under water
4 - Wipe the display panel clean with a damp cloth
5 - Lay flat to dry, keeping the display panel elevated (away from the wet cotton.)

Tips for prolonging the life of your shirt:

- When not in use for long periods of time disconnect the battery pack or remove the batteries.
- To reduce the necesity for washing the shirt many T-Qualizer owners wear a second t-shirt underneath.
